Kenneth Freeman has been called the "Rembrandt of the Rodeo" by members of the press and is highly regarded for his  meticulous portrayal of southwest culture. His riveting and highly detailed portraits appear to capture the essence of his subjects.

Chosen five times for the prestigious Parada del Sol in Scottsdale and selected for the 1988 Prescott Centennial Rodeo, Freeman has continued to define his work throughout his career with his distinctive portrait style.

Former first lady Barbara Bush invited him to show at the Smithsonian in conjunction with the planned Native American extravaganza. He has been featured in Southwest Art and AZ Highways and has created book covers for Louis L'Amour and other western authors. Freeman has done portraits of many notable individuals in the corporate and entertainment industry, most recently a commissioned portrait for Waylon Jennings. The American Medical Association annually commissioned him as their official portrait artist.
